My story started like so many other women--I noticed unwanted hair on my chin following the birth of my son. Of course I tried plucking, waxing and creams. Nothing seemed to help. In fact, if anything, it was getting worse. The more I plucked, the stiffer the hairs came back that replaced them. It was so bad that I formed a pact with my sister--if I was ever in a hospital and unable to get those hairs myself that she would come and take care of me! Have you ever felt that desperate?
That's when I decided--I wasn't going to spend one more day thinking about those stupid hairs! I looked up electrolysis and found a wonderful Registered Electrologist who finally put an end to my problem.
With that success, and how it made me feel, I realized that this is what I wanted to do to help other women who had this challenge. I attended the School of Electrology in Concord, CA and after passing the State Board exams in 1988, I opened my practice in Citrus Heights, CA. After 10 years I moved my office to Roseville and share the space with a Chiropractor and 3 Massage Therapists.
If you want a permanent solution to your hair problem, electrolysis is the only FDA approved method for permanent hair removal. An Electrologist is the only one who can advertise "Permanent Hair Removal."
All other forms of hair removal are just that--they "remove hair" but the process is somewhat temporary. Laser, a popular catch phrase in today's vocabulary, can advertise only "Permanent Hair Reduction" according to the FDA. I have had many ex-Laser clients come to me after spending considerable amounts of money for laser treatments only to still be left with an unwanted hair problem.
